"Federalist"
A Federalist is defined as: “a
person who advocates or supports a system of government in which several states
unite under a central authority”. Many of our founding fathers of our
constitution were federalist supporters. Alexander Hamilton was a loyal
federalist who in the time of George Washington’s rule was a member of “cabinet”
Hamilton was the secretary of Treasure therefore; he controlled most of the financial
decisions of the state. Hamilton introduced and implemented the idea of credit because
he payed off the States incurred “debt”. The United States had borrowed from
other countries like France, Brittan and many others to help pay for the wars.
Hamilton forced Americans to pay of this financial debt by raising and imposing
higher taxes on fellow Americans. Although the people were upset, Hamilton
created “credibility” for the US. This credibility is used and displayed until
present day and is considered as “one of the safest market place. Reasons why individuals
credit scores are so important.
Back in the day the Federalist movement
believed in one central form of government to rule all states. Members like John
Adams, Alexander Hamilton, John Jay and many more. Other individuals like Patrick
Henry, and George Mason were participants of the “Anti Federalist” movements
since they fear that with too much power given to the state will lead to abuse.
In other words it did not contained a “bill of rights” so, the anti Federalist strongly
believed that each State should create their own law and not give the government
total control. Alexander Hamilton of the Federalist Republican Party showed interest
in the countries finical well being by gaining more credibility and richness
while giving the people more jobs. On the other hand, Thomas Jefferson believed
that we are all one and we are united by our common morals and beliefs.
Jefferson closely resembled the “Democratic Party”. Jefferson and his supports thought
that power should be divided among the States and should represent the people’s
needs and interest. As you can see the political division in America can be
traced a little back of the day the Constitution was signed. Our founding
father and previous leaders have helped shaped our current political systems
voicing their beliefs and ways of thinking.
