I choose this article off the CNN website which explains and examines the Supreme Court Case between Roe and Wade. This particular case focuses on the issue of legalizing abortion. For many years women were denied the right to have an abortion. After a hearing in the Supreme Court case between "Norma Corvey alias Jane Roe" vs. Henry Wade on January 22, 1973 abortion was legalized. This decision was based on a 7/10 voters who supported the legalization of abortion under the 14th amendment of the United States. Judges who voted in favor alleged that, "Women should be allowed to make their own medical decisions without other interference because is a right in privacy". Each state was responsible for setting their time frames of when it was adequate to have an abortion but idly abortions are not permitted after 20 weeks. This case is important because it helped legalize abortions in many parts of the United States. Ultimately, this put a stop to the baby boom era as women were more in control of their bodies. If pregnancy rates are high in present days after the multiple prevention plans imagine if they were none?
